Why shares matter on Instagram

A share moves an Instagram post out of your own audience and into somebody else's. That is a different kind of number from a like: it suggests the content was worth passing on, not merely worth a tap.

Because they travel, shares are the signal most closely tied to reach. A post that gets shared is shown to people who do not follow you, which is the only way a small account meets a large audience.

They are cheap, and on several platforms the counter is less prominent than likes or views. That makes shares a supporting signal rather than a headline one — they work alongside the rest rather than on their own.

What is different about Instagram

Instagram puts three numbers in a row above the grid — posts, followers, following — and they finish loading before any photograph does. For the first second of a visit they are the only information on the screen, which is why they carry so much of the first impression here and so little on an app where the feed comes first.

The count also travels past the profile. It sits beside your name in suggestions, in search results, and on the screens brands use to size up a collaboration. A number that only had to survive one profile visit ends up being read in several places you never see.

One practical consequence: on Instagram the decision gets made on the profile, so lifting a single post helps less here than it does on a feed-first app. That is worth knowing before choosing between this and the per-post services.

How many should you order

Shares support the other numbers rather than carrying a post themselves, so size this one against what else is on the post rather than on its own.

Something in proportion to the likes works — commonly 100 shares to 500 shares at this price. A share count far above the like count is the mismatch to avoid here.

One caveat on price: orders start at $1.00, which here is about 33,334 shares. That is already more than most posts need, so read it as the smallest purchase rather than the recommended amount.

When to order

Alongside the rest rather than first. A share count means something next to a like count and a view count; on its own, on a post with nothing else on it, it is the least believable number on the page.

The moment that helps is the same one that helps everywhere else — while the post is still moving. Check first whether your post type even shows a public share counter, because on several surfaces it does not, and an invisible number changes nothing for anyone.

Doing this without buying

Something genuinely worth passing on is the only thing that produces real shares, and nothing here substitutes for it. A share is the hardest engagement to earn precisely because it costs the person something: their own audience's attention.

The paid alternative is putting money behind the post so more people see it, some of whom share it. That is more expensive and more real. Bought shares change a counter; they do not put the post in anybody's feed, and we would rather say so plainly.

Finding the link to paste

Open the post and use the three dots above it to copy the link. Feed posts, reels and the older IGTV pages all work, and the address will contain /p/, /reel/ or /tv/ followed by a short code.

A profile link is refused here rather than quietly accepted, because an order placed against the wrong target is money taken for something that cannot be delivered. If you want this on several posts, each one needs its own link and its own order.

Two things are handled for you. The tracking parameters a phone adds when you copy — igshid, fbclid, si, the utm ones — are stripped before the order is placed, so a paste straight from a share sheet is fine. Shortened links are not: an address from bit.ly, t.co, tinyurl or a similar service is refused outright, because the supplier cannot see where it points.

Mistakes that waste an order

• Buying shares on a post with no likes and no views. It is the least believable arrangement on a page.
• Expecting reach. A share from an account with no audience of its own moves a post nowhere in particular.
• Ordering without first checking whether your post type shows a public share counter at all.
• Pasting a profile link where the order needs the individual post.

What happens after you pay

The order is created the moment the payment clears and is sent on to the supplier from our side. An order number arrives by email straight away, and the tracking page it links to needs nothing but that number — no account, no password, no sign-in.

The page moves through a short list of states: queued, then in progress, then completed — or partially delivered, if the supplier stops short. It shows the count recorded when the order began, so progress is measured against where the post actually started rather than against a number typed in by hand. A partially delivered order is refunded for the shortfall without you having to work out what that comes to.

If something goes wrong

Delivery that never starts is refunded in full. Delivery that starts and then stops part way is refunded for the part that did not arrive — the difference, not the whole order. That is the policy in both directions, and it does not depend on you arguing for it.

The order page you reach with your order number is where to raise it, and there is a support link on it. No account and no sign-in is involved, because there is no account in the first place. Two things stop an order in a way nobody can undo: making the post private, and deleting it. Delivery halts wherever it had got to and cannot be restarted or moved to another post, so leave both alone until the tracking page says the order has finished.

Will I see the counter go up?

It depends on the platform and the post type — some show a public share counter and some do not. Check what your own post displays before you order, because we cannot make a hidden counter visible.

Is this the same as a repost?

Close, but the mechanics differ per platform. On X it is a repost; elsewhere it is a share to another surface such as a story or a direct message.

Will this increase my reach?

It may not. A share from an account with no audience of its own moves a post nowhere in particular, and we would rather say so than sell the number as distribution. Buy it as part of the picture on a post, not as a way of being seen.

Can I order shares without likes?

You can, but it is rarely the best use of the money. A share count with nothing beside it is the least believable arrangement on a post, and this is the weakest of the signals sold here when it stands alone.

Do I need an account here?
